- Miniatures is a new, ultra-short selection of four minigames coming to iOS
- It focuses on four separate, unique experiences and clocks in around 45 minutes
- It launches November 14th
Wouldn’t you like to be a child again? Don’t answer that, because there’s a better way to experience it than just pining, and that’s in the new, upcoming Miniatures, which is set to release on November 14th. This short collection of four separate stories comes from BAFTA-nominated studio Other Tales, so let’s dig into what it has to offer!
First off, this is a short game, and we do mean short. Clocking in at around 45 minutes, it’ll see you taking on four different minigames, all told from a child’s perspective. So yes, this isn’t exactly an action-packed thrill ride through a fantastic world, but something a little more contemplative than is often the case.
You may remember that we covered Miniatures way back in 2023, but now we know that it’s coming to iOS, next month, in fact! Boasting original artwork and an introspective story, will Miniatures hold up? We’ll just have to wait and see.
Fantastic voyage
Personally speaking, as much as I’m always there to advocate for games as art, a 45-minute playtime does seem a little short. I’m not sure how much people would pay for a game like that, which is billing itself as more of an introspective experience, so hopefully, it’ll be a reasonable price (or even free) as it seems like it would really resonate with a wide audience.
