RuneScape, the hit MMORPG from Jagex, has unleashed its latest story quest with Ode of the Devourer. This new quest will take you deep into the Egyptianesque Sanctum of Rebirth in a desperate race against time. And it’s also got some lucrative rewards to boot, so let’s dig in!
Called upon by the guardian of the dead, Icthlarian, you’ll be tasked with uncovering the secrets of the Sanctum of Rebirth in order to lift the curse of the devourer. Continuing on the Requiem for a Dragon storyline, it sees you also progressing through the Bilrach and Desert storylines as you work to cure Bill of Amascut’s curse.
Completing the Ode of the Devourer quest will grant you access to the upcoming Gate of Elidinis Skilling Boss which launches on September 23rd for RuneScape members. You’ll also be able to grab four 50k XP lamps for curing Amascut’s curse!Â

RuneScape is one of those franchises that has been quietly chugging along in the background even since I was a lad. And it’s no surprise that the game has proven so popular on mobile, given that it’s already seemingly mastered the fine balancing act of being free-to-play while not being pay-to-win.
